The SIOP Africa 2026 Annual Conference

The SIOP Africa 2026 Annual Conference will be held in Lagos, Nigeria, from April 13–17, 2026, bringing together thousands of pediatric oncology professionals and stakeholders from across the continent and beyond. This year, 12 outstanding nominees have been selected for the SIOP Africa Young Star Award, which recognizes emerging leaders for their excellence in clinical care, research, leadership, community service and advocacy in pediatric oncology. I am honored that two of us Gashaw Arega and @Abelhailu from Ethiopia have been nominated among these remarkable candidates. Looking forward to meaningful discussions, deeper collaboration, and collective progress in advancing childhood cancer care. Wishing everyone a successful conference and a year ahead marked by stronger partnerships, shared learning, and sustained improvements in outcomes for children with cancer across Africa.
